1000 consecutive workout days!
From October 8, 2017 to July 5, 2020 I worked out every day, with no days off…1000 days straight. Some days were hard (or extremely hard), and some were a bit easy, such as a recovery workout day. The criteria was to record a minimum 15 minute workout on the MyZone app, but most workouts were 60 minute HIIT or Spin sessions. Occasionally, I’d do something crazy like plank for four hours (the entire 2018 Super Bowl), push a sled with about 1,200+ lbs., complete 2,018 crunches on Jan 1, 2018, or carry a 150 lb punching bag around the building a few times.
Here’s pics of my progress during my 1000 consecutive days of working out!

Labor Day, 2017
On Labor Day weekend, 2017 I was looking forward to big things, just finishing up a fun summer in reasonably good shape, but I didn’t contemplate a 1000 consecutive workout streak, until many months later. I just wanted to keep the summer bod going until Halloween, my favorite time of year for a sexy costume lol.
On October 8, I went to a yoga class with a friend. Turns out, that was Day# 1. and the start of the 1000 day streak…I just kept going each day, being out of work with plenty of time (and plenty of reasons to keep my head clear and focused). Subsequently, on November 1st, I got a new job near Kinetic Gym, and I joined that day, and started going on November 2nd. At Kinetic, everyone was using the MyZone program to track their workouts. From that moment on, I wore the MyZone belt to track every workout (and I still do to this day in 2025). Tracking my progress with MyZone, and using the calendar, really helped me share (and prove) my progress…it’s all recorded in MyZone!

The early days of ‘1000 day streak’ at Kinetic…but I didn’t know it at the time lol
We used to have fun doing crazy workouts to keep it fun and interesting. Here’s a pic of me pushing Jamie (185 lbs), plus another 150 lbs of weight. Fun!

Here’s the early results after about 20 days at Kinetic. Nice results!

Nov 20, 2017 about 40 days into the streak

56 days into the streak…at age 56.

That’s a heavy load of Eli the super-trainer!

Heart monitor reading… steady, no breaks.

2/26/2018

A numerical feat! Consecutive workout day # matched my body weight. That’s hard to do, and could only happen for a few possible days, and then become impossible. Timing had to be perfect.

MyZone Heart Monitor that records every and all 1000 workouts (and I’m still wearing it for each and every workout in 2025)

August 2018: RED WEEK. 5 hard workouts!

Red dot workouts are hard! Over 90% average heart rate for entire workout. Fire week!

Another hot Halloween at Radiant Hot Yoga. Contest winner, Polynesian Fire Dancer (and a lot of skin showing lol)

Superman at Top Notch Fitness. Another costume winner!

Facebook remembers 2 years prior…732 days ago: Day #99 on Jan 17, 2018.

Covid shuts-down all my gyms! I have to pivot and switch to home/garage workouts, live-streaming & open-air workouts from now on until the end of the workout streak, for the remaining 109 days!

Done!
